    • PURPOSE OF AGENCY: To assist families/friends of alcoholics (whether the alcoholic is still using)

    • PURPOSE: Allumbaugh House is a regional facility that offers short-term mental health crisis services, detoxification services, and sobering station services to Treasure Valley residents. All services are provided to Treasure Valley residents who qualify for admission.
    • SERVICES: The Allumbaugh House is open for detoxification and mental health services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The sobering house is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 a.m. each week. The Allumbaugh House is not a walk-in facility, and a referral must be made for admission. The average length of stay varies for each service. Rehabilitation, counseling, and medical follow-ups are required to be successful in overcoming chemical dependencies. This may include residential or outpatient care after discharge. Mental Health Crisis Services: Average length of stay is 3-5 days of treatment. Detoxification Services: Average length of stay is 3-5 days of treatment. Sobering Station Services: Allows for an overnight stay of up to 8 hours to allow for participation in additional risk assessments and screenings.  The Allumbaugh House is open for detoxification and mental health services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The sobering house is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 a.m. each week. The Allumbaugh House is not a walk-in facility, and a referral must be made for admission
    • ELIGIBILITY: All clients must be 18 years of age or older. They must reside within Region IV (Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley Counties) and show potential for benefit from short-term stabilization. Priority will be given to clients with low income and/or lack of health insurance coverage. Admission to the Allumbaugh House is voluntary and based on capacity. A referral must be made by designated professionals for admission to the Allumbaugh House. Qualified professionals include the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, law enforcement, hospitals, or health care provider.

Outreach workers for the Walker Center are in Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Ketchum, and Boise. Names and phone numbers are available through the Walker Center. Now a licensed hospital facility.
